Nice hotel, good location, friendly owners, well worth it for the price.

The hotel was in a good location next to the royal palace, shops and amenities and was close to the train station and centre. When I checked in I was greeted by this nice elderly couple who were friendly and helpful. The room was very basic but it was clean and the bed was comfy. There was a toilet and sink located on the landing outside the room. It was very basic accommodation but for the price I really liked it.

Good value for money

Owners are very nice people. The wife speaks a bit of english, so if you can speak French or arabic is better. Place was clean. Location was good, just outside palace and not far from station. Not so easy to find at first because is in a cul de sac.

There’s no toilet paper but there’s a hose so you can use that instead. Place is old so windows have openings which makes it cold but they give you two blankets. Also I brought a hot water bottle with me and they were happy to boil some water for me to use in it at night before sleep because it was cold.

Friendly and helpful owner. They only speak Arabic - Google Translate has saved me the struggle, It's more of a homestay than a hotel. No lift only walk up. 15 mins walk to Medina/Fez train station - very conveinent. You get what you paid for.

Lots of flies in and around the property, though not inside the room if you keep you door and window shut.

You get what you pay for 9€ the night. Good location near the Medina and super friendly old couple that were very helpful.

Its an old building and you need to be prepared for simple conditions but for backpackers and people who just stay one night its ok.

Very Good

Imagine that one of the cheapest places to stay in Fes. Little fat from touristic Medina but still close to the train station. You could come by taxi very close to the hotel. Old style typical Arabic nice hotel but I enjoyed my stay. Maybe you need to communicate with people at the reception in French if you can.

As a value for money, I can't really critique but the room was not that clean but bathroom was OK. Maybe you could say it's just old.

Absolutely cheap, for a short time - tolerable

Cheaply. Obscenely cheap. Maximum simplicity and the absolute minimum. Microscopic room. The service is polite and helpful.

Shower only one, on the ground floor, toilet one per floor.

Great location with annoying guests

- Friendly Staff - Cheap - great location!

When it rains, its getting cold at night. (according to Google 11 °C): - Windows had huge gaps --> cold - no heating --> cold - warm water for shower did not work (one day)--> cold to make it short, i caught a cold there and am sick now... Besides that, it was extremely loud at night due to other guests. The lady cleans every day (and i think the toilets even more than once) But people just pee everywhere on the toilet seat and next to it!

If you can give up some comfort, unforgettable feel of Morocco

Interesting experience - it's not a regular hotel, that we could be accustemed to in Europe, more a riad - there is a bathroom in the ground floor, one european toilet, one eastern toilet, they can be closed from both sides ;) The building looks very old, and weak in structure, but it composes excellent with the surrounding and gives some feeling of a normal moroccan house. There was no hot water in bathroom, but it's hot outside, so no problem for me. The beds looked like from a prvious century, but were quite comfortable. At 5:00 a muesin from mosque waked us up with his prayers, but we wanted to go at 7:00, so that was fine, and it was also interesting experience :) The hosts are very friendly but don't speek english and it's difficult to communicate. Mobile translator could help, but when I tried to use it, they seemed not to understand what I try to do :) Summing up - you will love it, or hate it - thus I understand the split in other opinions ;)

We booked two single rooms and clearly had the booking information on our phones, yet they refused to give us what we paid for, and instead put my friend and I in a double bed together. They spoke no English, which meant that it was very hard to argue with this. The whole experience was overall very negative. We only booked here because of the closeness to the train station, if this is the case for you, please walk a bit further.

Good location and nice place

The location just next to the Royal palace, and just 20 minutes walk into the medina till the blue gate. The receptionist was nice and very kind. The room and bed were comfortable, with the view to the jewish cementery.
